The Pepperl+Fuchs SensorViewer app has been developed by Pepperl+Fuchs SE and is available on various platforms. The Pepperl+Fuchs SensorViewer app enables the operation of Ethernet-based sensors with a web server. With the help of the SensorViewer app, status and process data from sensors with web server available via WLAN can be viewed and modified on your mobile device.

Below, we would like to inform you in accordance with Article 13 GDPR, whether any personal data is processed in connection with the use of the SensorViewer app and, if so, what type of personal data will be processed, to what extent and for what purposes.

[2] Installation of the SensorViewer App

The SensorViewer app is available from sales platforms operated by third parties, known as app stores. Your download may require prior registration with the relevant app store and the installation of the app store software. Pepperl+Fuchs has no effect on the collection, processing, and use of personal data related to your registration and the provision of downloads in the relevant app store and app store software. In this respect, the sole responsible authority is the operator of the respective app stores. Pepperl+Fuchs only processes the data that is required for downloading the app onto your device. Please contact the relevant app store providers directly for more information if necessary.

[3] Collection and Processing of Personal Data, as well as Type and Purpose

The SensorViewer app processes the following data, which in accordance with GDPR is classed as personal data:

IP Address: each device connected to the Internet requires a unique address for transmitting data, called an IP address. Storing the IP address for at least a short amount of time is technically unavoidable due to the way the Internet works. The IP addresses are neither stored nor processed further.

We process your personal data for the purposes of our legitimate interests in accordance with point (f) of Article 6 (1) GDPR, to ensure the technical safety and availability of the SensorViewer app and its functions.

[5] Recipients or Categories of Recipients

Your data will be used exclusively within the framework of the legal guidelines. In general, your data will be processed by Pepperl+Fuchs employees who require this information to fulfill legal obligations.

[6] Duration of Storage and Criteria for Defining this Duration

The IP Address will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the specified processing purposes. This applies after exciting the uses of the SensorViewer app.

In accordance with the general provisions stipulated in Article 12 GDPR, you have right of access in accordance with Article 15 GDPR, the right to rectification in accordance with Article 16 GDPR, the right to erasure in accordance with Article 17 GDPR, the right to restriction of processing in accordance with Article 18 GDPR, as well as the right to data portability in accordance with Article 20 GDPR. You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in accordance with Article 77 GDPR.
