The inspection window allows regular maintenance programs to quickly check for water ingress or other corrosion problems in electrical and instrumentation circuits with no need to remove the cover, so corrective action can be taken to reduce the risk of process interruptions or unplanned shutdowns. The GR Series offers protection methods for enhanced safety (Ex e) and intrinsically safe (Ex i) installations.
Undetected potential faults may lead to the entire box, including cable glands, and sometimes local wiring being replaced, which is both costly and time consuming and means that other, proactive maintenance is delayed .
