Heat, cold, vibration, UV radiation, oil, or salt—mobile applications present connectivity technology with extreme challenges. Vehicles and mobile machinery must always remain fully operational without jeopardizing safety, even under the most challenging conditions. That is why Pepperl+Fuchs has developed rugged DT connectors for mobile equipment applications.
What makes them special? The DT connectors are fully molded, making them extremely resistant to salt, UV radiation, and oil. The complete encapsulation also relieves strain on the individual cable cores, improves the longitudinal waterproofing, and guarantees effective protection against mechanical stress and vibration. Their extreme resilience and long life make the DT connectors a highlight of the Mobile Equipment Connectivity (MEC) portfolio from Pepperl+Fuchs.
The enhanced connectors are based on the DT connectors from the company DEUTSCH. Functions such as the easily pluggable snap lock, the wedge lock, and the sealing concept make these DEUTSCH connectors highly popular among end users. The PUR-O cable cores molded to Pepperl+Fuchs DT connectors also stand for high quality in mobile applications. Sheathed cables and fully molded connector bodies allow assembled DT sensor/actuator cables to be used in temperatures ranging from -50 °C (-58 °F) to 105 °C (221 °F).
A slim, space-saving design simplifies machine design. The variety of DT sensor/actuator cable assemblies makes the connector even more flexible. Users can select from DT to DT, DT to M8, DT to M12, and versions with flying leads.
