FieldConnex® Surge Protection for Ethernet-APL

FieldConnex surge protection modules for Ethernet-APL are designed specifically for Ethernet-APL. Like all surge protection modules, they are designed for process equipment that is at high risk of lightning strikes and other surges. With these modules, fieldbus installation and instrumentation are reliably protected. They are

suitable for DIN rail mounting in control cabinets or fieldbus distributors
can be plugged onto Trunk or Spur terminals in the fieldbus distributor or in the control cabinet
mountable in IP67 housings for field installation

Surge protection for Ethernet APL is very easy and comfortable to install, without the need for an additional wiring level. All installation and maintenance rules can be implemented. In most fieldbus installations, the surge protection modules can be retrofitted with FieldConnex® Segment Protectors.

Especially designed SFP modules connect the switch to the Ethernet backbone via fiber optic cables.
