Tire Technology Expo is considered the most important trade show and conference for tire manufacturing technologies in all of Europe. Already for the 22nd time, more than 220 of the most important suppliers will once again come together in Hanover from March 21 to 23, 2023, to present their products and solutions for tire manufacturing. Visitors and exhibitors from all over the world will be offered an extensive program of conferences and workshops and an ideal networking platform. Pepperl+Fuchs experts will also be on site to discuss the latest industry topics and present solutions for the tire industry in hall 20, booth 3038:
With its compact housing design and wide temperature range, the RFID read/write device is ideally suited for the unique identification of raw tires before they are inserted into the vulcanization press.
RFID has proven itself as a track and trace technology in the automotive industry, as well as in many other industries. Pepperl+Fuchs has developed a customized RFID solution for the tracking of semi-finished goods in tire manufacturing that integrates seamlessly into the production process.
Industrial vision is a key technology for automation. Camera-based sensors of the VOS series take on the difficult tasks of 2-D vision, even in complex processes and situations. In many applications, one VOS sensor can replace costly vision systems.
During vulcanization, in addition to rubber production at high ambient temperatures of 160 °C to 200 °C, pressing to the final tire shape also takes place, with pressures of around 24 bars. During this process, particularly robust signal conditioners from the Pepperl+Fuchs K-System ensure continuous monitoring and control of the press.
Plants, products, and systems are becoming increasingly networked. This is why the push for standards for human-machine communication is particularly strong. The new IO-Link masters with OPC UA interface enable cross-vendor, platform-independent information exchange in cloud-based and hybrid systems. This makes tire production processes more efficient and transparent.
With the future-oriented interface, extensive diagnostics can be performed, or IO-Link devices can be parameterized via the controller during operation. Pepperl+Fuchs offers you an end-to-end IO-Link solution consisting of sensors with various operating principles and the appropriate infrastructure.
