Suitability for Use
The following external influences affect magnetic field sensors:
- Electromagnetic fields
- Cross-talk caused by electromagnetic fields
Accordingly, only a few installation and ambient conditions and any normative requirements must be taken into account for reliable operation of magnetic field sensors.
The installation conditions provide information about optimal installation of magnetic field sensors in the application without restricting their specified function (i.e., their operating distance).
To meet normative requirements, such as explosion protection, magnetic field sensors must have certain additional qualifications.
In order for sensors to be able to meet the requirements placed on them, special considerations in the environmental conditions must be taken into account.
