AS-Interface safety at work portfolio

AS-Interface Safety at Work is a safety-related extension of the AS-Interface and is simply integrated in an existing AS-Interface network. All standard and safety components are activated in parallel via the same cable so that you can integrate safety-related functions such as an EMERGENCY STOP or door monitors in your existing system.

In order to evaluate safety-relevant signals, you will only require one additional safety monitor that uses dynamic code sequences to reliably communicate with the Safety at Work components. Installing an AS-Interface guarantees compliance with safety category 4 according to EN 954-1 and SIL3 according to IEC / DIN EN 61508.

Safety Monitors

Safety Monitor Features:

The safety monitor allows installation of up to two circuits, which can be dependent or independent, offering flexibility in safety protocols. It supports two stop functions: category 0 for an immediate stop and category 1 for a controlled shutdown, allowing operators to respond effectively to safety hazards. Equipped with an LC display, it provides information on slave addresses and critical error messages, aiding monitoring and troubleshooting.

The stainless steel housing is designed to withstand harsh industrial conditions.

Emergency Stop

Our AS-Interface emergency stop buttons meet the European Standard EN ISO 13850 and enable you to safely stop your machine in the event of a malfunction or dangerous condition. The safety-relevant emergency stop button signals are evaluated by a safety monitor in the AS-Interface network. All the advantages of AS-Interface are therefore available.

Users have the option of selecting either a flush-mounted unit or a surface-mounted unit.
