Powerful and Rugged: New Pad-Ex® 01 P12 Tablet for Use in Zone 2/22, Div. 2

The hazardous area-rated tablet can be flexibly integrated into an office and company network via an optional desktop interface, as well as flexibly used in mobile applications. With a weight of 1.2 kg and a height of just 20 mm, the ultra-thin and lightweight Pad-Ex combines mobility and flexibility in one device. It has an 11.6” widescreen display, which is the perfect solution for mobile workers from various industries and can even be operated in sunlight. The touch mode enables individually programmable adaptation to the user's operating preferences: be it with gloves, fingers, or a pen.

The optional desktop docking interface ensures seamless integration into an office and company network. The interface creates a desktop-like user experience, transforming the tablet into a fully functional desktop PC when required. This function not only enables convenient use in mobile applications, but also smooth adaptation to stationary working environments. This makes the Pad-Ex an ideal complement or replacement for conventional desktop PCs, laptops, or wall-mounted displays.

The tablet offers even more flexibility with a wide range of additional functions, such as the optional barcode scanner. Honeywell's slimmest 2D imager, the N670X series, enables 1-D and 2-D barcodes to be captured reliably and with high precision. The tablet therefore offers an even greater variety of application options.

With its high-resolution camera equipment, including an 8.0 mega pixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 2.0 mega pixel front camera, maximum image quality is guaranteed. This allows numerous applications to be realized, from documentation to video conferencing. The Pad-Ex 01 P12 is a flexible and high-performance solution for a diverse variety of applications in hazardous areas up to Zone 2/22, Div. 2.
