In addition to a new feature that supports the ELATEC TWN4 MultiTech 3 RFID readers for VisuNet GXP devices, the update includes small improvements and corrections.

Please note:

• If you perform the update on a device with version 6.0.7 (or older), the validation of the security certificate may fail. Please install the Windows Certificate Update first.
• This update is not compatible with VisuNet RM Shell 5.

This update extends RM Shell 6 with the configuration option of a connected RFID reader (based on ELATEC TWN4 MultiTech 3). In addition, the update offers the option of using the additional "KM Switch 2" functionality (hardware setup with two remote monitors required) to operate two remote monitors with only one mouse and one keyboard. The remote monitors can be located in two isolated networks (e.g. DCS network and MES network).

This update contains the following improvements: 

• The Windows Scheduler Task “Language Components Installer” is disabled as this can cause irreparable damage to the hard drive.
• The following RM Shell connection profiles have been updated: Web browser based on Chromium 116.0, DRDC 4.3.1.
• The dialog filter can now be deactivated.
• VisuNet GXP and FLX displays with updated touch controllers are fully supported.

Please note that this update is not compatible with VisuNet RM Shell 5 devices based on Windows 10 LTSB 2016.

This update fixes a bug in Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2019 systems that occurs in the installation wizard when switching to a non-US-English language pack. If the system is not connected to the internet, the attempt to download the language pack regularly fails. A faulty implementation of the corresponding update and log file automatism in Windows can lead to overuse of the storage medium. This patch prevents this behavior by disabling the scheduling task “Windows Language Components Installer”.

The update contains the Windows® update Disable "Language Components Installer" Scheduler Task—fix for bug in Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2019 Systems.

Attention! We recommend installing the update as soon as possible on every VisuNet RM Shell 5 system, regardless of the selected language pack. Ignoring this setting can lead to irreparable damage to the hard drive.

In addition to new features for the industrial tablet thin client, this update enables advanced individual settings, such as the definition of a customized logo or RM Shell background. Security is also further enhanced by a new additional "Auto Logout" function for user roles.

This update provides an improved factory reset. It gives users the ability to maximize storage capacity for third-party software and security updates. In addition, the factory reset can now be controlled remotely from VisuNet Control Center.

This functionality update for the VisuNet RM Shell 5 firmware provides you with additional features upon factory reset. For example, it allows you to create and save individual backup images of the "status quo" of your device. This way, installations will not be lost and do not have to be restarted if there is a reset.

We recommend this functionality update to all users of a KVM Raritan Dominion KX IV-101 that is supported by the new RM Shell 5.2 release. The update streamlines the initial connection setup process, allowing users to quickly and easily create a connection profile and establish a KVM connection. 

Please note that if you update to RM Shell 5.2, you must also update the VisuNet Control Center if you use it.

Microsoft® has released another security update. Pepperl+Fuchs provides users with the appropriate update for the VisuNet RM Shell 5 firmware.

This functionality update fixes minor errors and integrates a number of new features into the firmware for Pepperl+Fuchs thin clients. Among these new features are an adaptation of the session shadowing function and an improvement to the factory reset.

Due to vulnerabilities in the Windows® operating system, known as "DejaBlue", Pepperl+Fuchs recommends that Remote Desktop Service users install a new security update.

Would you like to export device data from your RM Shell devices for documentation and reporting purposes? With the new update 6.2, you can now export data from your RM Shell devices via the Control Center in various output formats (e.g. Excel and PDF) to store them as documentation or for further processing. This includes serial numbers, software data and other device information. In addition, the option to configure the RFID readers of RM Shell devices remotely has been added.

The newly implemented license manager of VisuNet Control Center 6.1 allows you to import and assign digital licenses quickly and easily. In addition, we added a credential wizard to efficiently change device accounts, update profile credentials as well as communication authentication, and manage auto logon settings.

This functionality update for the VisuNet Control Center software introduces new functionalities upon factory reset. It includes a "Capture Image” wizard and an "Apply Image” wizard. The “Capture Image” wizard allows a backup image and a so-called clone image to be created. The "Apply Image" wizard in Control Center allows you to upload existing Pepperl+Fuchs image files or previously created clone and backup images.
