Commissioning Tools

Commissioning tools support and accelerate working steps on the work bench and in the field. Even where there is no electrical outlet in sight, a fieldbus battery supports commissioning and testing of fieldbus installations.

On the work bench, the FieldConnex® Starter Kit contains all necessary components to create a segment for monitoring or control with multiple components. A fieldbus power supply is also included.

The fieldbus diagnostic handheld (FDH-1) is the only portable solution with embedded expert system. For novice and experienced users alike the FDH-1 offers functions to check and monitor the quality of the fieldbus physical layer. Our users can check:

• the quality of an installation with just one push of a button,
• existing cable for their usability with fieldbus,
• messages from the expert system giving concise advice about quality and possible remedy of faults in the Installation.

The USB power supply for Foundation Fieldbus H1 powers up to two devices. In combination with cards with a bus master from National Instruments, a small control loop is powered by your laptop for testing purposes.
