With the new interface variety, the ENA58IL series of innovative magnetic absolute rotary encoders are established in almost all industrial applications. The rotary encoders are designed for common fieldbus systems and Ethernet-based interfaces which enables users to focus on technical features when selecting the optimum sensor for their specific application.
The ENA58IL series magnetic rotary encoders set a new industry standard: with their high accuracy of <0.1 ° and an enormous multiturn resolution of up to 32 bits, the ENA58IL rotary encoders also impress with cycle times of <80 μs. These sensors are suitable for use in harsh environmental conditions as well as high-speed applications.
Along with an easy mechanical integration using a solid or recessed hollow shaft, users can choose from a range of electrical interfaces for their communication system. The new interface variety extends from SSI interface via PROFIBUS, PROFINET, and CANopen to EtherCAT. With these connection possibilities, the ENA58IL series magnetic rotary encoders can be flexibly and quickly integrated into all applications in machine and plant engineering.
Another advantage of the new magnetic field technology is the extremely compact housing design, which integrates all base and interface electronics – no connection or bus cover needed. Three M12 connectors attached to the housing axially are used for connection purposes and parameterization is done via bus protocol.
Perfectly coordinated connection and mounting technology ensures optimum integration of a rotary encoder. For the ENA58IL series, a portfolio of suitable connectivity products is now available.
