Do new control cabinets make sense? Do racks have to be completely replaced? The answers are just as varied as the questions. Whether a complete switch cabinet replacement or just a general technology changeover makes more sense, Pepperl+Fuchs offers tailored solutions for your production—with as few interruptions as possible.

If upgrading the general technology, obsolete Eurocard technology can be replaced by modern technologies such by DIN rail mounted interface technology, remote I/O, or fieldbus infrastructures. There are individual solutions for this, based on racks, entire control cabinets, or field solutions.

When racks are replaced, the basic framework and infrastructure stay intact. Only old racks with Eurocards are removed and replaced by newly designed racks with customer-specific installation depths, complete pre-wiring, and the latest interface components from Pepperl+Fuchs.

For complete solutions, the existing 19-inch switch cabinet is replaced with a new switch cabinet per customer specifications. The cabinet is developed in detail, assembled, wired, and made available as a complete package with extensive project documentation and circuit diagrams. Ideally, customers only need to connect cables to transfer terminals or boards.
