Ambient Conditions

In order for sensors to be able to meet the requirements placed on them, special considerations in the environmental conditions must be taken into account.

The permissible ambient temperature is the temperature range in which a magnetic field sensor functions properly. The following applies to standard sensors from Pepperl+Fuchs:

• Ambient temperature: -25 °C ... +75 °C

Depending on the requirements, magnetic field sensors are protected according to IP65, IP67, or IP68 (EN 60529). Versions with degree of protection IP69K are available for use in especially harsh industrial environments.
