As a pioneer in the digitalization of process automation, Pepperl+Fuchs has set itself the goal of bringing Ethernet technology into hazardous areas. Splice boxes made of glass fiber-reinforced polyester or stainless steel enable the safe connection of fiber optic cable splices, while our solutions for conventional industrial Wi-Fi® access points form the basis for the operation of wireless networks in hazardous areas.
The GR.RER* series includes a wireless access point solution for Zone 2 hazardous areas. Conventional industrial Wi-Fi access points such as the Cisco MR 46 or ARUBA AP-535 are mounted inside a glass fiber reinforced polyester housing with Ex nR protection. A second, smaller enclosure in type of protection Ex ec contains an Ex e certified patch panel for easy connection and maintenance. In combination with intrinsically safe mobile devices, this enables continuous Wi-Fi communication even in hazardous areas.
The GR.TFO splice boxes in glass fiber reinforced polyester enable safe protection of fiber optic cable splices in hazardous areas.
The SR.TFO.* series is a range of fiber optic splice boxes designed for protection of optical fiber cable splices in hazardous areas. Up to 8 splice trays are installed inside the sturdy stainless steel enclosure.
